Deluxe Manicure
Give your hands the ultimate pampering with our deluxe manicure which includes a gentle hand soak to soften nails and cuticles followed by an exfoliating scrub and nail shaping. Send yourself to Gelous heaven as we indulge you in a relaxing massage of the hands and forearms and enjoy a soothing paraffin bath followed by your choice of polish.
**You may add Shellac or Gelicure for only $20 extra (just mention it in the comments section when booking and we will have this additional treatment ready for you)**
Initial Shellac or Gelicure Manicure
Say goodbye to smudging and chipping. Shellac/Gelicure are a mix between nail polish and gel, but it lasts for WEEKS with no chipping or smudging. This treatment also includes a grooming of the nails and cuticles followed by your choice of gel polish colour (please add $5.00 for French).
You may add a paraffin treatment to lock in moisture on dry hands for only $5.00 extra (just mention it in the comments section when you book online and we will have this additional treatment ready for you!).
Re-Shellac/Gelicure – soak off and new polish colour (45 minutes)
Sit back and enjoy a relaxing soak off of your current Shellac/Gelicure. This treatment also includes a grooming of the nails and cuticles followed by your choice of gel polish colour (please add $5.00 for French) and if you like, a relaxation massage of the hands and forearms if time permits.
Deluxe Pedicure (allow up to 75 minutes) – Your choice of Creamy Cappucino or Pineapple Papaya!
A relaxing soak invigorates tired feet as nails and cuticles are groomed followed by a safe reduction of calluses and dry heels and a manual exfoliation. Afterwards, you will enjoy a moisturizing mask that is removed by hot towels. A massage of the feet and lower legs soothes tension. Finally, we will send you to Gelous heaven as you relax with a luxurious paraffin treatment. This service includes a natural nail buffing, polish application or you may include a choice of long lasting French or Colour gel toes for an additional cost.
Essential Pedicure (allow 45 minutes)
Enjoy a relaxing soak and cleanse, callous softening and removal, cuticle and nail shaping followed by a relaxing massage of the lower legs and feet and an application of your favourite polish colour. Include a relaxing paraffin treatment for an additional $5.00 (just mention it in the comments section when you book and we will have this additional treatment ready for you!). You may also include a choice of long lasting French or Colour gel toes for an additional cost.
Gel Nails (Bio Sculpture)
Gel nails and gel toes have become increasingly popular in Calgary over the last number of years and why not! Who doesn’t want gorgeous looking hands and feet!
French gel nails are our specialty at Gelous, but we also offer a range of colour gels for those looking for something a little different. Our clients come to us from all over Calgary to enjoy our affordable prices and friendly service. We use a product that is the best gel on the market: Bio Sculpture, which is the only gel with a 5 star safety rating. Rather than damage your natural nails like some gel and acrylic, Bio Sculpture actually promotes nail growth and is thin and natural looking. Because Bio Sculpture can be soaked off it does not damage your natural nails. Instead of doing a regular fill during each visit, Gelous Spa does a complete soak off and brand new set every other visit, so you get a thin, natural application each time you visit us and nails that make everyone “Gelous”.
Unfortunately, too many nail salons in Calgary use acrylic and tell their clients they are using gel. Because Calgarians put their trust in the salons they visit, they believe they have a top quality gel on their nails when unfortunately, they often have acrylic or cheap gel on their nails.
Your Gelous Spa Technician will choose to use sculpted or tips depending on your nails. Here is some information on the difference between sculpted nails and tips:
Sculpted nails (or sculptured nails) are created by applying a “nail form” under the tip of your natural nail. The nail technician sculpts the nail and free edge with a gel to form the length and shape of an artificial nail (see picture below):
A tip is an application using a “plastic” nail tip, gluing it to your natural nail and applying a nail gel over the top of both your natural nail and the tip (see picture below):
Gel Toes
Gel toes look clean and tidy and can last 8 weeks+! Gel toes give you a chip free finish that is perfect for the Spring, Summer or Winter vacations and they are very low maintenance.
