Bio Sculpture Nail Aftercare Information
Although your nails may look and feel indestructible, in order to keep them looking as good as they do, you need to take care of them at home. By following a quick and simple weekly routine you can delay your visits for up to 7 weeks and still enjoy your beautiful nails.
- Use your Bio Sculpture Cuticle Oil or Bio Sculpture Cuticle Cream daily to ensure your cuticles are kept nourished. This will also prevent hang nails.
- Use Bio Sculpture hand cream rather than using a generic hand cream, which could cause your Bio Sculpture nails to lift.
- Every week, apply the Bio Sculpture top coat on your nails. Clients who use their top coat weekly have less issues with their nails as the top coat reseals the nails and gives them a shiny gloss again.
- To keep your nails looking like new, you may wish to purchase the Aftercare Kit to use between fill visits. The kit contains a file, buffer, executive base (which feeds nutrients and minerals to the natural nail to keep them healthy) and a top coat (that will cover up any scratches and will give your nails a nice glossy look again). The aftercare kit can help you extend your visits up to 7 weeks.

What are the advantages of Bio Sculpture gel nails?
For people who sometimes bite or pick at their nails, there is a 90 percent success rate of stopping this habit with gel nails (also known as nail enhancements). There are two reasons for this: people are less likely to ruin something they’ve spent time and money on and nail biters are generally inspired by having beautiful nails for the first time in their lives. You can have the natural looking nails you have always dreamed of with gel nails!
Will my natural nails continue to grow?
Yes, and gel nails can actually improve the health of your natural nails by protecting them from biting, picking, excess moisture and other elements that could weaken or damage your natural nails. Bio Sculpture gel nails will help your nails grow faster.
Should I let my nails breathe or take my artificial nails off for any reason?
Bio Sculpture gel nails will HELP your natural nails as it is more of a nail treatment than anything. It will help your nails to grow faster and is a great alternative for women who have weak/thin nails. Nails, just like hair are dead and do not need to breathe. By keeping the nails trauma free, the healthy condition of the nails should not be affected with regular gel nail fill maintenance.
How often do artificial nails need to be maintained?
Every 2-3 weeks (depending on the individual), your Nail technician will soak off the current gel nails you have on (unless you are growing out your nails with a different gel, in which case they will be soaked off when your Nail Technician tells you it’s time!). After each “soak off” you will have beautiful gel nails that will make your friends “gelous” once again!
How are gel nails different from acrylic nails?
Some acrylics can cause yellowing and uses harsh chemicals. A huge advantage of Bio Sculpture gel nails is that they are odorless and transparent and feel like your natural nails. Gel can be applied over the natural nail or over artificial nail tips. Bio Sculpture Gel can also be soaked off in less than 15 minutes and besides the popular French look, you can also choose from a selection of colours for a different look! Rather than completing a regular fill like other gels or acrylics on the market, Gelous Spa soaks off your gel nails each visit to give you a thin, natural looking application of Bio Sculpture each time.
How long will my gel nails last?
Gel nails should be maintained every 2-3 weeks, but some clients can go as long as 7 weeks by using the aftercare kit. It is important to have regular visits to soak off the product because if the gel lifts away from the natural nail, moisture and bacteria can accumulate between them. Your technician can spot problem areas best and will provide adequate advice. It is also very important to follow daily maintenance such as applying cuticle oil and hand cream daily as this will keep the nail healthy and will prevent lifting and dry cuticles.
How long will it take for my nails to return to normal after removing my gel nails?
If your natural nails were treated correctly in the beginning, and if you’ve been maintaining your gel nails with regular visits to the studio, your natural nails will be in good condition after the gel nails are removed The beauty of Bio Sculpture gel nails is that they can be removed easily with a gel remover which causes no harm or damage to your natural nails.
